SnoozeShade Plus Classic Review
If you thought all SnoozeShade had to offer was the SnoozeShade Original then you would be wrong. There are two ranges - the Classic (black) and Deluxe (silver) and we have recently been reviewing the SnoozeShade Plus Classic, keep reading to see exactly what it has to offer….
SnoozeShade is a company that has gone from strength to
strength having won many awards and being praised by celebrities such as Denise
Van Outen and Emilia Fox. The
first product is called the Original which has proved to be a very popular and innovative
product. Following on from parental requests, new SnoozeShade products are
available for infant car seats and travel cots. SnoozeShade Plus is designed to
be used with a child who is sitting up in a pram or stroller and that is what
we are telling you about now.
What do you get?
Mesh Carry Bag
SnoozeShade Plus Classic has an RRP of £29.99
The SnoozeShade Plus Classic is only available in one colour which is black with cream trimmings.
The SnoozeShade Plus Classic has two functions – it's a shade which protects your little ones from things like the sun and wind and it can act as a much-needed sleep aid by creating a peaceful environment for them to have a nap in. It is intended for use with little ones aged over 6 months once they are sitting upright in the pram and when they want to look out on the world. It can be used from birth - although it will be a bit baggier on carrycots.
SnoozeShade Plus Classic Material
One thing that has not changed on the SnoozeShade Plus Classic is the mesh material, it remains super soft and extremely stretchy. It is the stretch of the material that makes it suitable for any pram, pushchair or stroller. Believe me, I am somewhat of a pushchair addict and own my fair share of pushchairs, and the SnoozeShade Plus Classic fits on them all.
The material is extremely clever as it manages to protect from things like the wind, light rain and insects as well as providing maximum sun protection, shielding from 99% of harmful rays. This makes it perfect for using both at home and abroad!!
It also has the added bonus that it is machine washable at 30 degrees, no need to worry if it happens to get dirty whilst you are out.
SnoozeShade Plus Classic - The Fit
If you have used a SnoozeShade in the past, you will know that it can be used in a variety of ways. These include:
• Providing much needed shade from the sun – in this case baby can see out through the single layer mesh panel which filters 80% of UV and gives extra protection for delicate skin and eyes.
• As a blanket, protecting your little ones legs from the elements.
• Sleep mode, simply zip up the outer panel to create a calm, darkened environment for your little ones to nap in, allowing you to keep them in their usual routine when out and about.
Still just as easy to fit using three pairs of velcro straps. These straps are just as stretchy as the SnoozeShade itself meaning you can either do them up around the chassis of your pushchair or around the seat of the pushchair itself. I like that the straps are a different colour to the shade because it makes them easy to find and use. The velcro remains sticky no matter how many times you do it up and undo it so need to worry about it not working over time.
The SnoozeShade Plus Classic can still be used over carrycots too, although it is a slightly baggier fit - this isn't a huge negative though. I did like that the SnoozeShade Classic fit so well, with the SnoozeShade Plus Classic, it doesn't feel as secure when placed over a carrycot.
SnoozeShade Plus Classic Features
The sneak-a-peek zip: This feature allows you to check on your little one as they sleep without disturbing them. The sneak-a-peek zip can also be seen on the original SnoozeShade however where it is placed on the shade has changed. On the SnoozeShade Plus Classic, the zip is placed horizontally near the top of the shade; I actually found this placement better than on the original SnoozeShade as it gave me a better view of my child.
Mesh viewing window: I love this added feature on the SnoozeShade Plus Classic. It allows your baby to look around at their surroundings if they are awake whilst still protecting them and providing a nice shaded environment. The viewing window can be open and closed by simply undoing or doing up the zip. When open, the sleep panel can be rolled down and strapped up, keeping it from being blown around.
SnoozeShade Plus Classic Conclusion
really like the SnoozeShade Plus Classic. I prefer the cream trimmings to the
bright green ones on the original SnoozeShade and I absolutely love the added
viewing window, I stated previously that I felt like was what was missing from
the original SnoozeShade. A great update on an already invaluable product.
We give the SnoozeShade Plus Classic 5 out of 5 stars
