LIVE: Exciting news and launches from the nursery industry's biggest show
We're in Cologne at Kind+Jugend, the largest annual show for the nursery industry and a vast showcase of all the most exciting launches, innovation and upcoming products. Take a look at what we've seen so far...
First up, there are changes to UPPAbaby UK's much-loved single-to-tandem in the form of the VISTA V2. Coming in spring 2020, it has new wheels with softer spring-action all-wheel suspension for an even smoother ride and push, plus a new no-rethread harness that can be adjusted in one motion, and extended canopies on the toddler seat and RumbleSeat with zip-out fabric and mesh panels.
The iconic iCandy Peach has reached its 6th generation with some gorgeous new tailored Twill or Check fabrics and beautiful detailing - plus the option of a toddler ride-on board. Hurrah!
Swedish outdoor specialist Thule has created a brand-new three-wheel stroller designed for urban adventures, with a quick and compact one-handed fold. The Thule Spring has suspension and foam-filled tyres for more terrain-versatility than you find on many strollers about town, and comes in a choice of two frame finishes and six on-trend canopy colours.
We are very excited to see the return of RECARO! Known for their car seats, they also bring with them new wheels for next year, as well as new and innovative car seats. The Sadena is a nifty little stroller that will hit shelves in April. Two new car seats are the Kio and Salia Elite.
The popular Woosh from Cosatto has been given a revamp with new designs and features. We love the cute bunny design! Small but mighty, it has a 25kg weight limit and is still only £199. It will be out at the end of this month.
Now this is something very different from Maxi-Cosi! The Coral has just won the Innovation Award at the trade fair. It's a modular baby car seat that can be removed from its shell with the yellow handles so you can carry your sleeping little one cradled comfortably into the house and put the inner section down somewhere flat and safe.
Ever had an issue with travelling somewhere on your bike with your child in a bike seat and having no pushchair at your destination? The very clever Påhoj does it all and converts into a stroller when you take it off the bike. It's suitable from 9 months to 22kg and looks like a great idea for active, outdoor families.
Hands up who loves this Liberty print version of the always-popular Mamas & Papas Ocarro!
The Joolz Day + will be out next summer, weighing a whole 1kg less than the Day 3 and with a bigger basket, improved recline and brand-new wheels.
Joie is continuing to push forwards when it comes to car seat safety. The spin safe and i-Size spin safe have been tested above and beyond the usual European standards, also passing the Swedish Plus Test - THE most rigorous car seat safety test in the world. Also check out the brand's first i-Size high-back booster, the i-Traver...
The Pacific Autograph collection from Silver Cross will be available in classic Ink or this on-trend Bronze.
All those who love the BabyStyle Oyster 3 but want the option of a pushchair for two LOOK AT THIS! The new tandem adaptor is coming soon.
We think this will be popular - a matching i-Size infant carrier for your egg stroller called, of course, the egg Shell!
As ever, egg also has plenty of potential new colours on display, from this oh-so-pretty blush pink and pearlescent white to the ribbed look of these twill fabrics.
